The solution came to us last year in the form of a new, super-compact, high-power motor developed for our new Blaster® SideKick® portable car/motorcycle dryer. It has plenty of power, comes with a generous 5-year warranty and fits beautifully inside our proven, all-steel Metropolitan hand vac bodies.” 

They are made here in the USA at Metro’s Suffern, New York plant and share the same rugged, all-steel body design that has made Metro products famous since 1939. The similarity to previous generation hand vacs, however, ends when you press the on/off switch! The extraordinary power of the new 500-watt motor is immediately apparent as it torques to life with a smooth, turbine-like whine that is more reminiscent of a muffled jet engine than the anemic “whirr” you might expect from units this compact.
